Adams, Stone named All-HHC

BNL’s Zoe Adams was named to the All-HHC First Team by the league coaches.

BEDFORD – Bedford North Lawrence’s Zoe Adams and Sarah Stone were named to the All-Hoosier Hills Conference First Team by the league coaches.

Adams, a senior, went 10-3 in the circle with a 2.26 ERA. She registered 76 strikeouts in 108.3 innings as the Stars finished the campaign with a 20-7 record. Adams also hit .425 with 5 home runs and 22 RBIs.

Stone, a sophomore who has verbally committed to the University of Kentucky, was a power source in the middle of the lineup, hitting .456 with team highs of 7 homers, 11 doubles and 36 RBIs.

Sarah Stone led the Stars in home runs, doubles and RBIs.

BNL’s Leona Morron was named honorable mention. The senior left-handler went 10-4 in the circle with a 2.93 ERA, and she also hit .278 with 2 homers and 19 RBIs.

Seymour, the HHC regular-season champion, had three players on the First Team with Rachel Kaufman, Carley Robinson and Grace Meyer, while sectional champion Jennings County featured Kylee Matern and Gabby Mahoney.
